Suryakumar Yadav scripts 5 major records
Suryakumar Yadav has a big fan following worldwide.

Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has backed Suryakumar Yadav to play Test cricket for India.

SKY, who made his T20I debut against England in 2021, has become the best batter in the shortest format of the game.

He is currently ranked No.1 in the ICC Rankings and was also named the T20I Cricketer of the Year.

However, he hasn’t done well in one-day internationals. The 32-year-old has failed to cement his place in the Playing XI. He recently played in the three-match series against New Zealand but left his fans disappointed.

Suryakumar has amassed 5549 runs at an average of 44.75 in first-class cricket. He was named in the squad for the first two Tests against Australia.

“He should play all the formats and without him, the three formats shouldn’t even exist. He plays fearlessly and can play different shots,” Suresh Raina told Aakash Chopra.

“He is from Mumbai and knows how to play red-ball cricket. SKY can cement his place in the ODI set-up by playing Test cricket for Team India. He will score multiple 100s and then 200s.”
