Virat Kohli scored a fifty but couldn’t finish the game for India in Chennai. The right-handed batter accumulated 54 off 72 balls, with the help of two fours and a six.
He failed to read the delivery of Ashton Agar and was caught in the long-off area. Former India player Gautam Gambhir slammed Kohli for playing a poor shot.
“Virat Kohli played a poor shot. You should finish games for your team when you are a big player. You can’t play that kind of a strike, leaving your team in trouble,” said Gautam Gambhir.
He also questioned KL Rahul about his dismissal. “Even KL Rahul should also be questioned. He has been with the team for a long time but still didn’t realize the importance of his wicket,” he added.
Rahul amassed 32 off 50 balls before Adam Zampa got the better of him.
