Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were phenomenal in the second T20I against England in Karachi.
Chasing a big target of 200, they never looked out of control and went on to slam 203 runs as a pair, a new world record.
Babar hit 110 runs while his partner Rizwan was unbeaten on 88. The two have been criticized by former players and fans for their recent performances.
But Mohammad Kaif has a different view regarding the duo. He urged everyone to stop following social media trends.
“When criticizing players like Babar and Rizwan, don’t follow social media trends, think about their class. Top players can’t be written off because of loss of form,” he wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, Babar couldn’t even score a fifty in the Asia Cup 2022. On the other hand, Rizwan’s strike-rate was questioned by the leading cricket experts. Now the seven-match series is levelled at 1-1 with five games to go.
