Former India captain Virat Kohli lauded Pakistan captain Babar Azam after the Men in Green defeated India by five wickets. Virat said they are not friends, but they have mutual respect.
The 33-year-old said Babar is always keen to learn and is among the best players across all formats.
“Babar is a very nice guy. I have always had good conversations with him. I am not sure of friendship, but there is respect. He spoke to me after the 2019 World Cup. I have always said he is keen to learn, and there’s no surprise that he is one of the best batters,” said Kohli.
He further added that it is always nice to meet Babar Azam and other players of the Pakistan team.
“It’s always nice meeting him and also other players of Pakistan. There is mutual respect between both the teams,” he added.
