India is playing against Leicestershire in a four-day practice game before the fifth and final Test against England. Mohammed Shami was on target on day 2 of the game. He got rid of Sam Evans, who was caught by Virat Kohli.
The 31-year-old pacer then came back and bowled Cheteshwar Pujara, who is playing for the county club, as a part of the agreement between the BCCI, ECB and LCCC.
However, it was Shami’s celebration that caught the attention. He went towards Pujara and jumped on him after taking the scalp.
He imitated Krunal Pandya, who had jumped on his former Mumbai Indians teammate Kieron Pollard after sending him back to the Pavillion in IPL 2022.
Earlier, India declared their first innings on a score of 246, with KS Bharat an unbeaten 70.
After the Test, the Men in Blue will be playing three ODIs and as many T20Is against the Eoin Morgan-led team.
