Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled the fastest delivery of the match.

Team India clinched an easy victory against Ireland in the rain-affected first T20I. The Men in Blue excelled in all three departments of the game.

Umran Malik made his much-awaited debut and bowled with some serious pace that kept the fans thrilled. He is expected to break Shoaib Akhtar’s record of fastest delivery.

However, amid all eyes on Umran, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled the fastest delivery of the match.

Due to a technical glitch at the start of the match, the speedometer showed Bhuvneshwar bowling over 200 kmph on several occasions.

Kumar, as usual, was at his scintillating best. He picked up one wicket in his three overs and conceding 16 runs, including a maiden.

He bowled the opening over of the match, and on the first ball, the speedometer clocked 201 kmph, and again in the same over, it read 208 kmph. This glitch started a chain of hilarious posts on social media platforms.

The fans quickly brought out their creative side, and some even wrote, “Shoaib Akhtar, who?”. Here are some hilarious posts shared by the fans.

In the post-match conference, Kumar spoke about his bowling and said, “Yes, I did enjoy bowling. There was a bit of swing with the new ball. It was much better to bat after 4-5 overs. Doesn’t matter what format it is; if you get these kinds of wickets, it is always good to bowl Test-match line and length.”
