A shocking development has taken place in Hyderabad, the venue for the 3rd and final T20I between India and Australia.

Notably, Hyderabad will host an international match after three years. Thousands of cricket fans gathered outside the Gymkhana stadium in Hyderabad to get the offline tickets for the final T20I on 25th September.

The overexcited fans gathered in thousands, and a stampede-like situation occurred at the venue. The police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the crowd. As per reports, it left 20 injured, out of which seven required hospitalisation.

Famous journalist and fact checker Coreena Enet Suares took to Twitter to post the video and provided an update on the injured.

According to her report, 20 people were injured, and seven were admitted to the Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad.

Another report from India Today mentioned that apart from the injured, a woman died in the stampede.

The viewers have criticised the officials for the mismanagement and slammed the police officials for poor handling of the situation.

There has been no official statement from the police department about the incident, but a few personnel have said some fans jumped off the Gymkhana gates.
