A war of words erupted between Mohammed Shami and Shoaib Akhtar after Pakistan’s defeat in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup.

Shami took a dig at Akhtar after England emerged victorious by 5 wickets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Pakistan were restricted to 137/8 by England bowlers after being put into bat by Jos Buttler. The bowlers tried their best, but the Men in Green ended up with a runners-up trophy.

Following the loss, Akhtar took to Twitter and shared a broken heart emoji.

While sharing the tweet, Shami wrote – ” Sorry brotherIt’s call karma 💔💔💔.”

Akhtar didn’t like Shami’sShami’s reply and hit back.

“And this what you call sensible tweet,” he wrote while posting a quote from Harsha Bhogle.

Shami’s tweet was in response to Akhtar’s dig at the Indian team after they suffered a humiliating defeat in the second semi-final of the World Cup.

““Bhaiyo aik bhi out nahi kero gay kya? (Brothers, will you not take a single wicket?),” Akhtar had written.
