Virat Kohli was heading towards a big score, but aggression took over him, and he was dismissed after scoring a fifty. He lost his wicket on a full toss, which one doesn’t expect from a batter like Kohli.
The 34-year-old thumped his chest and uttered cuss words, a reply to his strike rate critics, after reaching the 47th fifty in the Indian Premier League.
He accumulated 50 off 33 balls. On the 34th delivery of his innings, the former RCB captain tried to hit Kuldeep Yadav‘s delivery with too much power instead of timing it properly and was caught in the deep.
Former India player Harbhajan Singh was unhappy with Kohli. “He should have hit the ball properly, as it was a full toss, but Kohli left the team in a lurch. He had a chance to add 50 more runs and take the team to 200 runs,” he said.
RCB managed 174 in 20 overs, a below-par score on the batting track of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
