Virat Kohli played another match-winning knock while chasing a total. He is known as a chase master for his ability to finish the games for the Men in Blue.
In the third T20I against Australia, he allowed Suryakumar Yadav to play his shots while taking a back seat to stay till the end.
Both the batters scored more than 60 runs each and helped the team to take the series by a margin of 2-1.
Former India player Ajay Jadeja has heaped massive praise on the right-handed batter and said that Virat has become a chase master after MS Dhoni’s retirement.
“There was a period when Virat Kohli would score runs, but MS Dhoni would finish off the games at the end,” he told Cricbuzz.
“However, he has taken up the role since MS Dhoni’s retirement as things have become easier around him. Virat understands the pace of the game, and he may not have the striking ability that many players have around the world, but there is no one as consistent as him,” he added.
“He has been scoring runs for the past 10, 12, 15 years. However, the trouble starts when you expect him to do what others have been doing.”
