Saba Karim said India’s issues with the swinging ball across formats have been impacting the overall performance. Mitchell Starc was sensational in the first phase of the second ODI and the top-order failed to counter his late swing.

Karim said the lower order has been contributing with the bat and management needs to work on the weaknesses of the top-order.

“India won the last game after lower-order’s contribution. The top-order (Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli) is becoming a headache for Team India. The batters are not consistent. I am sure Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma will discuss the issues with the group,” he said on India News.

The hosts were bowled out for 117 in the second game of a three-match ODI series.
