Virat Kohli had another poor outing in international cricket. The former India captain scored just 11 runs in the first innings of the fifth and final Test against England.

Virat scored his last century in 2019 but his performance in the practice game had raised the hopes of a comeback. However, the veteran was played on while facing Matthew Potts on the opening day of the contest.

His below-par display disappointed the Indian fans, who slammed the batter on social media.

Earlier, Ben Stokes won the toss and invited India to bat first. The hosts had a good outing as they dismissed five opponent batters with not even 100 on the board.

James Anderson was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3 wickets.
