Virat Kohli has once again made the BCCI officials angry.

Virat Kohli has once again made the BCCI officials angry after his recent statement on lack of support during his rough patch. Kohli had said that when he resigned from Test captaincy, only MS Dhoni messaged him.

However, a top BCCI official has slammed the former captain for lying as the apex body of Indian cricket gave him full support.

“Virat had the backing of everyone. From his teammates to everyone in the board, we were behind him. To say that he did not get the support is not true and is a big lie. He was given breaks to rediscover his form. So, I don’t know what he is talking about,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.

After the match against Pakistan, Virat was asked about the support he got during his tough time.

“MS Dhoni was the only one among everyone who had my number who texted me. There is genuine respect between us as there is security. We don’t want anything from each other. I am an honest person and have played cricket with honesty. I don’t like people giving me a suggestion on TV. If they care for me, they should speak directly,” said Virat.
