Virender Sehwag has left India’s former captain Virat Kohli out of his top three batters for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia. Instead, the former player said Ishan Kishan should open the inning with Rohit Sharma or KL Rahul, and any of the two senior players could bat at No.3.

Sehwag was pleased to see how Ishan batted against South Africa. The 23-year-old showed how the Men in Blue should approach T20I cricket.

“India have plenty of options. I would want Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and KL Rahul as the top three batters for the ICC T20 World Cup. The right-hand and left-hand combination will be good for India.”

Virender Sehwag also want Umran Malik along with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami in the side.

“Umran has impressed me, and he should play alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami in the World Cup. Umran’s skills will make him an all-format player for the national team.”
