The Men in Blue suffered a shocking defeat to England in the second semi-finals and crashed out of the ICC T20 World Cup with humiliation.

After the defeat, Indian fans did not shy away from expressing their disappointment and called out the humiliating fashion in which the team lost the match.

Meanwhile, several players have conveyed their feelings via social media posts, and the latest to do the same is India’s star batter Virat Kohli.

Kohli has been India’s best batter in this tournament. The 34-year-old gathered 296 runs in six matches and became the first player to complete 4000 T20I runs.

However, after the match, the conversation shifted to Kohli’s place in the team. Virat supporters want the former Indian captain to continue, while many others want to see his ouster along with other senior players.

Meanwhile, Kohli took to Twitter to post his message for failing to bring the ICC title back home.

He wrote, “We leave Australian shores short of achieving our dream and with disappointment in our hearts, but we can take back a lot of memorable moments as a group and aim to get better from here on.”

He further wrote, “Thank you to all our fans who turned up in huge numbers throughout to support us in the stadiums. Always feel proud to wear this jersey and represent our country.”
