25-year-old Deepti Sharma became the first women Indian off-spinner to go under the hammer as she was bought by UP Warriorz for a whopping 2.60 crore. Deepti, who caused a stir last year over the mankading row, has 64 wickets in 77 appearances and also scored 737 runs, which includes a half-century. Apart from UP, Gujarat and Mumbai also got into an intense bidding war for Sharma.
Meanwhile, star seam-bowler Renuka Singh, who rose to fame with her stellar performance in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, was bought by RCB for 1.50 crore. Renuka registered herself for the maximum base price of 50 lakh.
