New Zealand are losing cricketers after cricketers due to T20 leagues. The players are giving up central contracts or are not ready to sign them.
Trent Boult, Martin Guptill, Colin de Grandhomme, and Jimmy Neesham have already left to play in the T20 tournaments.
New Zealand’s senior bowler Tim Southee has warned that more Kiwi cricketers will likely follow the same path soon.
“Cricket has changed. I am playing for New Zealand and then will leave for IPL. Let’s see what happens in the future,” he said.
“More cricketers will leave shortly as everyone wants to be a part of the leagues.”
