MS Dhoni played with knee injury during the Indian Premier League 2023. He led Chennai Super Kings to their fifth title despite struggling. It was his left knee that troubled him and now that IPL is over, he will undergo several tests to determine the extent of his injury.

According to the Times of India, he could opt for surgery to get 100 percent fit. But the veteran will take a call after taking several factors into consideration.

Surgery is not a bad option if he wants to get 100 percent fit. However, he will require a long time to be able to cricket. He is 42 and whether surgery will allow him to be at his best for the next IPL, is a matter of conjecture.

Dhoni will take a call before going ahead with operation. MSD wants to play in the next season of the tournament and even CSK have welcomed his decision.
