South African captain Temba Bavuma hogged the internet after the 33-year-old was spotted sleeping during Captains gathering event in Ahmedabad on Wednesday ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023 that starts on October 5.
During an event, while the other captains were busy answering the questions, the right-handed batter was spotted taking a nap. Notably, Bavuma recently had to return to South Africa because of a family emergency and flew back to India a day ago, which is why the fans assume that it is natural for him to be tired because of the long journey. The image of Bavuma went viral on the internet.
Bavuma, during the programme, shared his insights on the experience of South African players playing in India. Numerous players of the Proteas team have gained valuable experience through the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, Bavuma emphasized that having players with IPL experience does not necessarily give a unique advantage since other teams also have players who are familiar with Indian conditions.
