Sourav Ganguly gave a blunt response to critics on the captaincy changes.

India broke English hearts after Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya’s heroics helped the Men in Blue cruise past the Three Lions to win the ODI series 2-1.

In the series decider, England batting first lost wickets at regular intervals, but they kept swinging the bat irrespective of the situation’s demand.

They were bowled out for 259, setting up a target of 260 for India to clinch the series.

The top order tumbled for the second time in the series without contributing much to the scoreboard. However, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya took the task upon their shoulders and stitched a 133-run stand. Pandya struck 71 of 55 balls, whereas Pant hit his maiden ODI century by amassing an unbeaten 125.

Rohit Sharma became the first Indian captain to win an ODI and the T20I series in England. Further, the Indian cricket fraternity took to social media to congratulate the team. Meanwhile, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly posted a tweet giving his verdict on the series and also mentioned Virat Kohli, who notably hit a new low.

Dada, in his tweet, hailed India’s performance. He also mentioned Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli for their contributions to the Test series.

It is worth noting that Ravi Shastri was a part of the Indian management for the Test tour to England, which got halted after the 4th Test. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli led India in those matches.

His tweet read, “Super performance in England. Not easy in their country ..2-2 Tests.Win in T20 and One Day. Well done Dravid, Rohit Sharma, Ravi Shastri, Virat Kohli @bcci ..Pant just is pandu.”
