Sanju Samson third ODI vs NZ
Aakash Chopra feels India should play Sanju Samson in the third and final ODI against New Zealand.

New Zealand had no problem chasing 307 runs in the first ODI against India. Tom Lathan (145) and Kane Williamson (94) took the team to a win by 7 wickets.

The two shared an unbeaten partnership of more than 200 runs, a record against the Men in Blue.

Umran Malik (2) and Shardul Thakur (1) were the only wicket-takers, highlighting the team’s bowling problems.

Earlier, India scored 306/7, with Shreyas Iyer smashing 80 off 76 balls. Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill accumulated their fifties.

Meanwhile, former India player Wasim Jaffer pointed fingers toward the team management (Shikhar and VVS Laxman) for not including a sixth bowler, which proved costly for the sub-continent team.

“Well played, @BLACKCAPS. Made 300 look like 270. Williamson all class as always but Latham stole the show. Not easy for an opener to move down the order and still be successful. India missed a trick by just playing 5 bowlers. #NZvIND.”
