Former India pacer Rudra Pratap Singh senior’s son Harry Singh is a part of the England U19 cricket team, which will play a bilateral series against Sri Lanka U19. He would look to perform to play for England’s national team.

However, Harry’s father, RP Singh, believes the youngster has a long way to go. Singh is an opening batter for the Lancashire 2nd XI.

“We got a call from ECB that Harry is a part of the squad that will take on Sri Lanka at home,” said RP Singh while speaking to THE Indian Express.

“It is not easy to play for the national side as you need luck and a lot of runs. I have seen cricketers doing well in the dmoestic matches but failed when exposed to international cricket. As Harry grows, he will have to make technical adjustments,” he added.

Rudra Pratap Singh, who is from Lucknow, represented India in 1986 in two One Day Internationals against Australia. However, he migrated to England in the late 1990s to pursue coaching assignments with the Lancashire county club and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
