It was a disappointing end for Team India as England handed them a 10-wicket defeat in the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup at the Adelaide Oval.
Alex Hales (86*) and Jos Buttler (80*) shared an unbeaten 170-run stand to take the English team to the final. They will take on Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Earlier, Virat Kohli (50) and Hardik Pandya (63) guided the Men in Blue to 168/6 in 20 overs but the bowlers failed to perform.
Rohit scored 116 runs in six innings at a disappointing average of 19.33. Former India player Ajay Jadeja has slammed Rohit for taking regular breaks before the global event.
“Rohit Sharma will feel bad but he was never with Team India. He should have been with the players for the whole year but regular breaks were more important. Also, he was unfit in a lot of series. Even for the upcoming New Zealand series, Rahul Dravid has been rested,” he said on Cricbuzz.
“There should be one leader and if you have seven, things would become difficult,” he added.
