Team India captain Rohit Sharma has completed 15 years in international cricket. After facing many ups and downs in his career, he finally cemented his place in the squad after being promoted to open the innings in the 2013 Champions Trophy. He took to social media to express his feeling and gratitude.

“Hello everyone, Today I will be completing 15 years of international cricket since I made my debut for India. What a journey it has been, surely one that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

I just want to thank everyone who has been a part of this journey, and a special thanks to the people who helped me become the player that I am today.

To all the cricket lovers, fans and critics, your love and support for the team is what gets us over those hurdles we all inevitably come across. Thanking you, RS.”

Rohit holds numerous records in the international arena. He is the only batter to hit three double hundreds in ODIs and four tons in T20Is.

In 230 ODIs, he has amassed 9283 runs with the help of 29 hundreds and 44 fifties. In addition, the 35-year-old has been a part of 125 T20Is, scoring 3313 runs, laced with 4 centuries and 26 fifties.
