He was worried about the death bowling as the bowlers continued to leak runs.

India defeated Australia by 2-1 in a three-match series. The last match saw India’s batting showcasing its talent against some of the best bowlers. Virat Kohli and Surayakumar Yadav played match-winning innings and took the home team to victory by six wickets.

Captain Rohit Sharma was satisfied with the squad’s overall performance and revealed the positives and the biggest area of concern for the Men in Blue.

He was happy that a new match-winner stood up in every game and that players understood their responsibility. However, he was worried about the death bowling as the bowlers continued to leak runs.

“I was good to see players coming up with good performances in every game. However, death bowling is still a concern as we have been leaking a lot of runs. I want to see improvement in this area. I know Harshal and Bumrah have just returned and need time, but death bowling is not upto the mark,” he said.
