Rohit Sharma is having a poor time with the bat in international cricket. In order to score heavily, Rohit has thrown away his wicket on many occasions.

In a three-match series against South Africa, he registered two ducks, becoming the first Indian captain to achieve this unwanted record.

The 35-year-old is the first Indian to score 10 ducks in T20Is. KL Rahul with 5 and Virat Kohli with 4 are second and third.

Earlier, India won the toss and invited South Africa to bat first. The decision backfired as the visitors accumulated 227/3 in 20 overs.

Rilee Rossouw hit an unbeaten 100 off 48 balls, laced with 8 sixes and 7 fours. Quinton de Kock smashed 68 off 43 balls with the help of 6 fours and 4 sixes.

India have already won the three-match series. Batsmen Lokesh Rahul and Virat Kohli have been rested for the World Cup. They will rejoin the Indian squad in Mumbai before it flies to Australia on Wednesday.

Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh is also rested.
