Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has stated that the time has come for India to accept that Rishabh Pant is not a white-ball player.
He said Pant has been given a chance at multiple batting positions but has failed to come up with an impactful display in limited-overs cricket.
“Time for India to accept the reality surrounding Rishabh Pant. He is not a white-ball cricketer. The management has tried him at different batting positions, but he failed. Give a chance to Sanju Samson, as he hasn’t done anything wrong,”‘ he said.
“From fans to former players, everyone is unhappy with how Samson has been treated.”
Pant scored just 17 runs from T20Is in New Zealand. His ODI scores were far from satisfactory, as he accumulated 25 runs in the series.
On the other hand, Sanju played just one ODI, scoring 36 runs. However, he was not included in the remaining two matches.
