The 16th edition of the IPL is less than two weeks away, and all ten franchises have begun preparing for India’s premier domestic league. The forthcoming edition is anticipated for several reasons, including it potentially being MS Dhoni’s last season.
Besides that, Delhi, Punjab, and Lucknow would also look to end their title drought, particularly RCB, who have been heavily trolled for their empty trophy cabinet despite playing the finals thrice.
Ahead of the upcoming season, RCB dealt a heavy blow as their 3.20 crore star batter Will Jacks got ruled out after suffering a muscle injury during the 2nd ODI against Bangladesh in Mirpur.
RCB announced Will’s replacement in the latest development and roped in New Zealand star player Michael Bracewell. Bracewell was hired because of his form against India during the series earlier this year.
Notably, the Kiwi was the highest wicket-taker for his side during the T20I series and scored 140 in the first ODI against India.
Bracewell has played 16 T20Is, in which he has 113 runs and 21 wickets. The 32-year-old will join the club at his base price of 1 crore.
