Ravindra Jadeja made history by becoming the first player to reach a significant milestone in the IPL. He took the wicket of Dasun Shanaka in the 11th over, becoming the first left-arm bowler with 150 IPL wickets.
Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, scored 172 runs against Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023 Qualifier 1. The match took place at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk on Tuesday.
Gujarat Titans had a poor start, losing Wriddhiman Saha and skipper Hardik Pandya during the powerplay. Deepak Chahar dismissed Saha, while Theekshana got Pandya out.
In the 11th over, Ravindra Jadeja struck again, dismissing Dasun Shanaka and reaching 150 IPL wickets. He is also the third all-rounder with over 1000 runs and 150 IPL scalps.
Jadeja continued his impact by dismissing David Miller, securing a crucial fourth wicket for his team, and helping CSK to reach the finals with a comprehensive victory over GT.
Jadeja hasn’t let his performance down despite reports of his rift with MS Dhoni and CSK management. The veteran has recently been vocal on social media, posting cryptic messages to highlight that all is not well between him and the franchise.
