Ravichandran Ashwin feels India have the chance of winning the 2023 ODI World Cup at home. The Men in Blue won the 50-over tournament in 2011 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. India were the co-host, and the final was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Ashwin feels India could go all the way, given their impressive track record in home conditions.

“India have won 14 while losing just 4 ODIs played at home after the 2019 World Cup in England. The win percentage is 78-80 percent. All of these 18 matches have been played at different venues,” he said.

“The four defeats came in Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Lucknow, where Dew played a big role. The Men in Blue have batted first and posted totals that they believe are par and par-plus.”

India thumped Sri Lanka by a margin of 3-0 in the ODI series. Rohit Sharma-led team is leading 1-0 in the ongoing series with New Zealand.
