Prithvi Shaw, who hasn’t been included in the Indian team despite his magnificent performances in domestic cricket, won nine awards at the event organised by Mumbai Cricket Association.

Shaw represents Mumbai in domestic cricket and was a guiding force behind his team’s victories in the Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare tournaments.

On the other hand, Sarfaraz Khan, who is ruling batting charts in Ranji Trophy for the last three years, bagged 8 awards.

The right-handed batter is one of the top performers in red-ball cricket, but hasn’t been given a chance by national selection committee.

Many former players have urged selectors to give Sarfaraz a chance in the upcoming series against Australia.

Pat Cummins-led team will play a four-match Test series in India.
