He also said that keeping India as favourites would be ‘utter nonsense.

India’s humiliating defeat to England has attracted heavy criticism towards the players and the management. With IPL is growing bigger with every edition, the country has failed to reap the reward, and the Men in Blue have failed to win a single ICC T20I tournament since IPL’s inception.

On the other hand, Pakistan, who lost their campaign opener against India, bounced back and will face England in the finals.

Since India exited the tournament before the Men in Green, several Pakistani legends and former players mocked the IPL and cash-studded BCCI for their repeated failures in ICC tournaments.

The latest to join the bandwagon is PCB chairman Ramiz Raja. Speaking to the media ahead of the all-important final, Raja did not miss the opportunity to fire shots at the BCCI and said, “We doubted ourselves. Everyone saw in this World Cup that Pakistan is miles ahead of a billion-dollar team, so we are doing things right.”

It is not the first time that Ramiz Raja has used the ‘billion-dollar team’ remark to mock India. After the Asia Cup win against India, Raja hit back at Babar Azam’s critics and said that the skipper deserves respect for beating a billion-dollar team. Raja also remarked that Indian have started giving respect to Pakistan.
