Pommie Mbangwa’s commentary of the winning moment during the Pakistan and Zimbabwe match in the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup on Thursday has come viral.
Zimbabwe came into the contest on the back of a called-off game against South Africa, while Pakistan were looking to bounce back from their loss to India.
The African nation couldn’t handle Mohammed Wasim and Shadab Khan and was restricted to just 130 runs in their 20 overs.
The chase should have been easy for the Men in Green, but they made a mess. Shan Masood and Shadab Khan stitched together a partnership, but Sikander Raza quickly took three wickets to derail Pakistan’s chase.
The match went to the last ball, where Mbangwa was at his best in the commentary box.
England pacer Stuart Broad lauded Mnangagwa’s commentary. Zimbabwe have three points after their first two games, while Pakistan are yet to open their account.
