Dinesh Karthik lavished praise on Australia’s left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc for taking 5 wickets in the first ODI against India. The speedster was named the Player of the Match as the visitors won the game by 10 wickets.
Speaking on Cricbuzz, Karthik said that it is not easy to face a quality pacer like Mitchell Starc, who is the best white-ball bowler at the moment.
“Starc is the best white-ball bowler at the moment. Any batter will find it tough to face a bowler like him. You put anyone against him, he can dismiss them on the first ball,” he said.
“Shaheen Afridi, Trent Boult and Mitchell Starc are different bowlers. They can setup any batter in international cricket,” he added.
The fifer was the ninth time Starc recorded the landmark.
