Avesh Khan didn't feel left out and made a comeback to form with his match-winning spell of 2/17.

Former batter Wasim Jaffer has said that India should open with Rishabh Pant in the upcoming T20Is against England. Pant made his T20I debut in 2017 during the home series against England but hasn’t been successful in the slam-bang version of the game.

Even in the five-match T20I series against South Africa, the southpaw was dismissed similarly.

In 48 T20Is, Pant has scored only 741 runs at an average of 23.15 and a strike rate of 123.91 with just three fifties to his name.

He is all set to play for the Men in Blue against the English side. Ahead of the opening match, Jaffer asked the Men in Blue to consider opening with Pant.

Jaffer took to Twitter and wrote, “Indian think tank should think about opening with Rishabh Pant in T20Is. I think that’s the spot where he can blossom.”

Rose Bowl, Trent Bridge, and Kennington Oval are the three venues.
