Former India cricketer Amit Mishra has slammed Shahid Afridi for once again interfering in India’s internal matter. Afridi had tweeted in favour of Yasin Malik, who has accepted terror funding charges.
Malik, who has been lodged in jail for years, withdrew his lawyer on the last day of the hearing.
Afridi took to Twitter and wrote in favour of the J&K separatist leader.
“India’s continued attempts to silence critical voices against its blatant human rights abuses are futile. Fabricated charges against #YasinMalik will not put a hold on #Kashmir’s struggle for freedom. Urging the #UN to take notice of unfair & illegal trials against Kashmir leaders.”
Taking note of his statement, Mishra came down hard on the veteran cricketer.
“Dear @safridiofficial, he has pleaded guilty in court on the record. Not everything is misleading, like your birthdate.”
