MS Dhoni had a memorable Indian Premier League 2023 as a captain and player. His team Chennai Super Kings won its fifth title since the inception of the tournament in 2008.
Dhoni carried a knee injury throughout the league but played for the sake of the team.
He landed in Mumbai on Wednesday to consult a specialist about his knee injury. As per reports, he is expected to get under the knife today. The veteran was spotted with the Bhagavad Gita ahead of the procedure.
After winning the title with the Yellow Army, he expressed his intention of returning for the next season.
“It was the right time to take retirement but I feel I had to give one more season for the love of fans toward me. they made my season special. I know it is going to be tough on my body but I have 8-9 months to take a call. I will try my best to play in IPL 2024,” he said.
