Mohit Sharma was bowling exceptionally well against Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube in the Indian Premier League 2023. He conceded 4 runs on the first 4 balls of the last over. With 10 needed off 2 balls, he was expected to win the final for Gujarat Titans.

However, he delivered two ordinary balls, leading to a six and four by Ravindra Jadeja. Mohit’s dream of making a match-winning contribution was over in a span of a few seconds.

GT clobbered 214/4, with Sai Sudharsan leading the charge. He smashed 96 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Due to rain and wet outfield, the target was revised to 171 in 15 overs. With valuable contributions from all the batters, the Yellow Army won their fifth IPL title.

“I couldn’t sleep. I was thinking about the time when I made a mistake in front of Ravindra Jadeja. It is not a nice feeling to lose the final. Something somewhere is missing. I am trying to move on,” said Mohit Sharma.

“I have been practising for such situations and managed to deliver in the past. I went for the Yorkers but the last two balls were not the way I wanted,” he added.
