Mohammed Siraj has hit back at trolls for targeting him during the last season of the Indian Premier League. The 29-year-old said that people are unaware of the struggles and sacrifices of the players. The speedster added that trolls only dampen the confidence of a player.
He recently spoke to RCB on a podcast. “It is easy to abuse someone without knowing about their lives. You don’t know about their struggles. How can you abuse them? Those messages can negatively impact any cricketer. For no reason, you get abused,” he said.
“They would laud you one day and the next day want you to get out of the team and drive an auto. I don’t understand the reason behind all that. When you perform, you become the next big thing.”
Siraj was mocked during the last edition of the Indian Premier League. “Now they are asking me why I was retained? There was no need for you to get retained.”
