Former Australia all-rounder Matthew Hayden has levelled serious allegation on Rohit Sharma after his failure in Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League 2023.
Mumbai Indians captain accumulated 8 runs off 7 balls against Gujarat Titans in a 234-run chase. The five-time champions suffered a 62-run defeat.
Hayden was miffed with Rohit after another failure with the bat and accused him of failing in important matches for India and MI.
“I haven’t seen Rohit scoring runs in important games for India and Mumbai Indians. He doesn’t let his bat do the talking whenever there is a need,” he said.
There was no contribution from Hitman in Mumbai’s journey to the knockout phase of the cash-rich league.
Sharma is failing with the willow for years and the team’s emphatic performance hasn’t kept him away from critcism.
