Lanuschagne broke his silence on the viral 'dressing room nap'

After two days of dismal performance, India bounced back on the third day, as Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur’s 109-run stand saved the Rohit Sharma-led side from embarrassment.

Leading by 173 runs, Australia got off to a poor start in their second innings, as the baggy greens lost four wickets for 123 runs.

Marnus Labuschagne was the top scorer with an unbeaten 41 (118). Besides his knock, the 28-year-old hogged the internet for his on-field antics as the number one ranked Test batter got caught taking a nap inside the dressing room when David Warner and Usman Khawaja were out in the middle.

Soon the video spread like fire on the internet. In the latest development, Labuschagne broke the silence on the viral video and stated that he was just resting his eyes and relaxing.

“I was just resting my eyes between the balls. I cannot watch the game all the time and wanted to relax. Although, Siraj did not let me get enough rest.”

Marnus walked in early to bat as Mohammed Siraj got rid of David Warner in the fourth over of the match. Ahead of the fourth day, Australia lead by 296 runs.
