Legendary cricketer Wasim Jaffer feels Virat Kohli’s similar dismissals against the spinners is becoming a major concern for the batter. The star batter was clean bowled by Mitchell Santner in the first ODI on Wednesday, January 18.
Jaffer said Virat should have played the ball on the front foot instead of going back to play his shot. Speaking to ESPNCricinfo, Jaffer said that Kohli needs to work on the issue at the earliest.
“This is becoming a problem for Virat Kohli as he is unable to cover the line of the spin. He is playing such deliveries on the back foot instead of the front foot. He is getting out on the spinners in a similar way,” he said.
Virat wad dismissed after scoring just 8 runs.
