Former skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq wants Mohammad Amir to come out of international retirement and play for Pakistan. The left-arm pacer retired in 2020 following his differences with the team management and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
A lot has been said about his return in the past. Newly appointed PCB chairman Najam Sethi also said he has no issues with Amir’s comeback.
Inzamam also voiced his opinion, saying that if Amir performs well in domestic cricket, he should be allowed to represent the Pakistan national cricket team.
“Mohammad Amir is a good bowler,” the former skipper said while addressing reporters. “If his fitness is good and he performs in domestic games, he should be considered for the selection.”
Amir’s relationship with former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja was not good, and the former stated that he would not play again till Raja was heading the cricket board.
