KL Rahul is facing massive flak after his performance in the first Test against Australia. He scored 20 in the only innings as the hosts won the game by an innings and 132 runs.
Former players are demanding KL Rahul’s removal from the team. Venkatesh Prasad has accused the team management of favouritism. He wants Shubman Gill or Sarfaraz Khan to play instead of India’s vice-captain.
Shaun Tait, who was Pakistan’s bowling coach, has also lambasted the opening batter, saying he is good for the Indian Premier League.
KL Rahul should be removed from all formats as he is good to play only IPL. Give young guys like Gill, Sarfaraz and Shaw chance as they are the future,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Team India is not ready to give up on the batter. Vikram Rathour feels KL has played a lot of good innings in red-ball cricket and deserves to be a part of the Playing XI.
