KL Rahul Test team return
KL Rahul, who has played as an opener and in the middle order, has yet to return to the Indian team.

KL Rahul is all set to fly to Germany for the treatment of his recurring groin injury, according to CricBuzz. “That is correct, the board is working on his fitness, and he will be going to Germany soon,” said BCCI secretary Jay Shah, as quoted in the report.

The right-handed batter, who was appointed Team India’s captain for South Africa series, was ruled out after injuring his groin. The 29-year-old was named Rohit Sharma’s deputy for the one-off Test in England, but the selection committee will now have to look for a new vice-captain.

KL was in great form for Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League 2022.

The 30-year-old Rahul had expressed his disappointment after being ruled out of the South Africa series.

“Hard to accept, but I begin another challenge today. Gutted not to be leading the side for the first time at home, but the boys have all my support from the sidelines. Heartfelt thanks to all for your support.Wishing Rishabh and the boys all the luck for the series. See you soon.”
