It was Babar Azam’s show in the ICC awards. After winning the ODI Cricketer of the Year, he bagged the Cricketer of the Year award as well. Mohammad Rizwan lauded skipper for his achievements in 2022.

The 28-year-old scored 2598 runs in 44 matches at an average of 54.12 with eight centuries and 15 half-centuries to win the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy.

While he accumulated 1184 runs from just nine Test matches, his tally stood at 679 runs in nine one-day internationals. He won the ODI Cricketer of the Year in 2021.
