Justin Langer has denied all the claims suggesting he had a troubled relationship with Test captain Pat Cummins.

Former Australian men’s cricket team head coach Justin Langer has denied all the claims suggesting he had a troubled relationship with Test captain Pat Cummins. He praised the current skipper, saying he has plenty of respect for Cummins and he is a good human being.

He had launched a scathing attack on the Australian team members, calling them cowards for saying bad things about him behind his back.

Speaking to 7 News Perth, Langer clarified that there is no rift between him and Cummins, and he continues to be in touch with the Test leader.

“I respect Pat Cummins, who is a brilliant player. He is a good human being, and we have no problem. I recently spoke to Patty about the direction of the team and how he and his family are doing,” he said.

The former coach, who Cricket Australia did not give a long extension, further said that he has never criticized the players and admires their honesty.

“The word coward was related to Cummins by many, but I never said anything for the captain. I praised Tim Paine, Pat Cummins, and Aaron Finch in my podcast. I was complimenting them, not criticizing them.”
