England’s Jos Buttler is one of the best T20I batters in the world. The 32-year-old led England to their 2nd T20 World Cup title in November.
Buttler, who was the 2021 T20I cricketer of the year nominee, has destroyed several bowlers’ careers, but in the latest developments, he has revealed the name of the toughest bowler he has faced in his T20 career.
During the ’25 Questions with ESPN Cricinfo, Buttler named his former Mumbai Indians teammate Jasprit Bumrah as the fiercest bowler he has faced.
Buttler started his IPL career with Mumbai Indians in 2016, where he played with Bumrah for two seasons before moving to his present team Rajasthan Royals in 2018. The Rajasthan Royals star had a scintillating IPL in 2022, as he equalled Virat Kohli’s record of scoring the most centuries in a single IPL season (4) and also won the orange cap with 863 runs.
On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah had a forgettable 2022, as he was mostly out of action with a back injury. Nevertheless, Bumrah is IPL’s 10th leading wicket-taker with 145 wickets in 120 matches.
Buttler led England in the South Africa series, which the Three Lions lost 1-2.
