Jasprit Bumrah
The former West Indies pacer emphasized that Bumrah's availability will play a key role in India's success and failures in the ICC tournaments.

On December 27, India released the squads for the T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka, starting today. India’s stalwarts Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja, who have been out of action for a long time due to injuries, were expected to return for this forthcoming series but failed to make the final cut.

Meanwhile, in the latest update, the BCCI delighted the Indian fans as they announced Jasprit Bumrah’s return to the Indian team for the ODI squad. The apex board updated their squad sheet and included Bumrah in the final list.

Bumrah played just 15 matches across formats in 2022, as he sat out for a major portion of the year because of a back injury, which ruled him out of the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup.

Bumrah was rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and is now all ready to return to international cricket after four months.

The three-match ODI series will begin on January 10 in Guwahati. Here is the updated squad for the ODI series.
