Bumrah didn't play in the series opener as the management wanted to give him more time to recover.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar once again failed to contain runs in the 19th over of the Australian innings in the first T20I in Mohali.

Harshal Patel was not impressive on his return after an injury. India failed to defend a big total against the Aussies.

Death bowling has been one of the biggest concerns for India in the recent series.

However, India are likely to receive a massive boost in the form of Jasprit Bumrah, who is expected to play in the second match in Nagpur.

Bumrah didn’t play in the series opener as the management wanted to give him more time to recover.

“We all know exactly what Jasprit Bumrah can do for the team. He didn’t play because the captain and coach wanted to give him more time before including him in the XI,” said Hardik Pandya. Bumrah is set to replace Umesh Yadav.
